A/X Growth 2019: Update 4 - March 19, 2020

The stocks I like going forward are Tesla, Roku, and Beyond Meat. These growth companies are leaders in the field and continue to innovate. Understanding Buy, Sell, and Hold Ratings... 1) Buy Recommendation: $82 11/6/2019 - Beyond Meat ( BYND ) is a plant-based manufacturer of meat products. They offer an alternative to traditional animal-based meats, while maintaining the look and taste. Beyond Meat is in a great position to capitalize on the shift from animal-based meat to plant-based meat products. There is  growing trend to go healthy and to focus on the environment. They have set up partnerships with fast food chains and are in supermarkets. Recently, the stock came down and I see that as a buying opportunity. 1a) 3-17-2020 Beyond Meat: Outperform (Moderate Buy) Current Price: $62 Target Price 12M: $80 Reason: Valuation 1b) 3-18-2020 Beyond Meat: Underperform (Moderate Sell) Current Price: $60 Target Price 12M: $60 Reason: Market Conditions 1c) 3-19-2020 Beyond M

A/X Portfolio 2018

By Roy Philipose Here is an updated list of 10 stocks that are part of the "A/X Portfolio." This portfolio should return at least 15% per year. The majority of these companies are led by their founder and have strong growth potential. Changes to A/X: I have replaced Under Armour (sports apparel) for Square (retail payments). There are more good stocks out there, but I don't have the time to research them all. I plan to add myself to TipRanks (stock pick ratings). My overall track record for picking stocks speaks for itself. 2017 S&P 500 + 18.74% 2017 A/X Portfolio + 156.38% For 2017, the big winner was Bitcoin and the big loser was Under Armour. The majority of these companies are led by their founder and have strong growth potential. I have removed companies that did not display strong fundamentals. I recommend Bitcoin for insurance against the US dollar. Personally, I like the GFAT (Google, Facebook, Amazon, Tesla) portfolio. A/X Portfolio 2015

by Roy "Dr. P" Philipose Over the years I have developed an "investment model" which has done well. I continue to learn and get better with the model over time. I use a "10 step method" in evaluating companies. A book I recommend adding to your library, if you haven't already, is Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits by Philip Fisher. It is an easy-to-read book, similar to books written by Peter Lynch. "10 Step Method" -- Stock Picking, Major Factors 1, Good Management (Ceo) 2, Growing Revenue 3, Cashflow Generation 4, Competitive Edge (Leader) 5, Little or No Debt 6, Inside Ownership (Founder) 7, Safety of Margin (20%) 8, Favorable Risk/Reward  9, Fundamental Catalyst 10, Popular Factor (Need) -------------- A/X Portfolio Here is an open list of 10-20 stocks that are part of the "A/X" portfolio. SolarCity 2014 Annual Meeting

I attended the SolarCity 2014 Annual Meeting on June 4, 2014. The CEO, Lyndon Rive, gave a presentation about the company and how the company is experiencing strong growth. He also stated the market share for the company was small compared to the opportunity. I asked the CEO 2 questions: 1) About Shareholder Lawsuits. An attorney came up and said, "There was one actual lawsuit against the company. Even though it looked like there were many, but only one. And they would be fighting the lawsuit vigorously, as the lawsuit has no merit." 2) About Shareholder Buyback. The CEO stated that, "They have no intention of a buyback. That basically the company is experiencing such strong growth, that they would get better returns on growing the company." At first I didn't understand that. I mentioned how the stock price is down. But the CEO, Mr. Rive stated, "We are better off using capital to grow the business because of our high growth rates." Late

Strong Buy on Twitter, SolarCity, Tesla

Twitter, SolarCity, and Tesla experienced record declines, but the company prospects are still "solid." A "safety of margin" is present. Therefore we are reiterating a "Strong Buy" on all three companies.  Our 36M Target Price (May 2017) is $60 for Twitter, $100 for SolarCity, and $400 for Tesla. We see a minimum 100% upside based on today's prices of $31, $49, and $198 respectively. "The time to buy stocks is when everyone else is selling." -- RP. Disclosure : Long on TWTR , SCTY , TSLA
